Comedonal Acne
This is a condition where comedones are formed due to blocked pores, but inflammation has not occurred,
which can develop into inflammatory acne if left untreated. It is divided into closed comedones (whiteheads) and
open comedones (blackheads).
Papular Acne
Commonly called pimples, this is an advanced stage from comedonal acne that is accompanied by inflammation. It appears as a red form with pus but
is not easily extractable.
Pustular Acne
As inflammatory reactions appear on the skin,
it forms with pus and purulent material. Fingernails or
improper extraction can easily cause indented scars and marks
to form.
Nodular Acne
This is an aggravated stage from pustular acne, characterized by large size and pain. In a firm form
it is located deep within the skin, making extraction
difficult and requiring a long treatment period.
